Fresh food

We finally broke down and bought ourselves a bread maker a couple of weeks ago. Since then, I have made loaves of bread (multi grain, whole grain, plain white, sweet bread), doughs for pasta and pizzas.

Yup. Money worth spending.

The kids LOVE the bread. My son, especially. My husband has been enjoying fresh bread for breakfast. I eat some, but not as much as the rest of the people in this house. :)

Moving on.

My husband informed me last night that he wanted a food dehydrator for his birthday. It was one of those things we kept saying every year that we were going to get it at so-and-so time, but never did.

I guess I will get it this year. The next question in my mind is where will we put it?

We bought a pantry cabinet to store all the small appliance in. It is full. The thing is we use them all regularly. it is not like I can get rid of one thing. The mixer and the bread maker are not even in the pantry. They have permanent places on the counter. I guess the garage????

Speaking of the garage, we have a gazillion boxes in there to get rid off. When the weather is warmer for the baby to sit outside for a bit, we are cleaning the garage.

It's a slow going

I have a new son now. Almost 3 months old.

He wears the fleece sleeping sacks to bed, he uses the fleece diaper covers and other knitted items my mother-in-law and I made for him.

It the past two and a half months, I have had two diaper orders. I have completed them both. But let me tell you, it was a very SLOOOOOOW process trying to get the diapers done. Between taking care of the children, working and being exhausted at the end of the day, I just did not have enough energy to force myself to be fast at sewing the diapers.

I also have a lot of knitting I would like to get done. I finally finished a baby hat that will go to a friend, expecting a baby boy. I have several pairs of baby leg warmers to make, for my son and for my friends' babies. I have longies to make. Arghhh.. the list is endless.

Until next time, I bid you good night.
